Time's orders Porcelain was highly prized back then but mostly in the west also in the Islamic worlds it was said to be exotic, brilliant, gorgeous, exquisite even! These pieces were far above durable and useful, and not even that expensive! (But their value increased over time so don't get excited) The amount can vary from 100-200$ though if it's higher quality it will be more expensive.

The Creation process Porcelain is first created from a soft clay, mixed with other substances to create the different types of porcelain. Hard paste porcelain is a high-fired ceramic ware that has a translucent color, Hard paste porcelain for example was fired at 1,450 C. That's pretty hot right? Sevres made in about 1575 was a Soft paste porcelain. Sevres is coated with brilliant beautiful colors, and decorated with sceneries the only difference was it was just covered with a gold gilding.

History of Porcelain Porcelain began in the shang dynasty, in the ruins of the Zhengzhou in central china's Henan province. Black porcelain started strong in the Han dynasty.
Since the Sui and tang dynasties porcelain has evolved, from clay types and substances to pieces of brilliant art. There are now two types of porcelain: Black, and White. |
